This page here is to help you prepare for your tour with us and know exactly what to expect.
When you made your booking, you either selected that you WANT a pickup or do NOT WANT a pickup. If you selected the PICKUP option, read the details below:
Our Base Camp is situated in an area called Fontainhas (in Albufeira) – and our pickup service area is between Armação de Pêra and Quarteira.
Our tours either depart at 10h00 or 15h00, depending on which time you selected for.
10h00 Tours – Your charming Algarve Riders Guide will meet you at the scheduled time which vary from 8h45 and 9h10. Don’t worry if we don’t arrive at the specific scheduled time, traffic can be really bad sometimes. Do not worry!
14h00 Tours – Same deal! Your Guide will meet you at the scheduled time which vary from 13h45 and 14h10. Same friendly reminder, if we’re not there right at the scheduled time on the dot it just means we’re probably stuck in traffic.
Please ensure that you have provided us with a contact number and email is always appreciated too! If you’re unsure about the pickup address, email us prior to your travels at firstname.lastname@example.org
However, if we’re ever past the pickup times you can give us a ring at +351 968 552 236 (working hours: 8h30 to 18h00).
If you DID NOT select the option to be picked up, you’ll be meeting us at our Algarve Riders Base Camp. The GPS coordinates are:
If you’re not tech-savvy, the Google Maps directions you can find through the following link to get you right on the spot: Algarve Riders Tours Base Camp (click here).
As you can see, prior to the tour we’re picking up a few other fellow adventurers so we’ll arrive on site just after 10h10 or 14h10. We’ll see you there!
The Algarve Riders has got you covered on fashion and protection, but there are a few essentials you need to wear & bring along with you.
We provide you with rain gear (if needed), helmets, goggles and you can add balaclavas as well to protect from dust.
We ask that you wear comfortable clothing and good outdoor shoes.
Friendly reminder: Please dress according to the weather, through more than 300 days per year we have a bright sunny sky, the other 65 days it could rain and make a little bit cold.
And of course, don't forget to bring along the good mood!
To be able to drive, participants must present on the excursion day their Valid Full Car Driving License (B Category) at the Base Camp. Provisional or learner licenses are not allowed in Portugal. Additionally, don't forget to prepare yourself for the mandatory security deposit per vehicle as follows:
We look forward to having you soon!
